Three weeks, start to finish.
Most homes go from the first visit to switch-on in about twenty-one days. This is where the time goes.

Four steps, one team.
The same people survey, design, fit and look after your system. Here is what each step asks of us, and of you.
01 / 042 hoursSurvey
A two-hour visit: roof, loft, fuse board and a year of your bills. Your written design follows within five working days.
- We
- Measure the roof, pitch and shading
- Check the loft, rafters and fuse board
- Read a year of your bills
- You
- Have a recent bill to hand
- Tell us about plans: a car, a heat pump
02 / 045 working daysDesign
Panel layout, string plan and battery size modelled on your roof and your usage, at a fixed price with no extras later.
- We
- Lay out every panel on your roof
- Size the battery from your usage
- Fix the price, with nothing added later
- You
- Read it through, ask anything
- Approve it, or change it
03 / 042 to 3 daysInstall
Two to three days on site. Scaffold, fitting, commissioning and the network paperwork, all by our own employed team.
- We
- Put up the scaffold and fit the rails
- Wire the inverter, battery and charger
- Commission and test every part
- You
- Clear a path to the fuse board
- Be in for the first and last hour

Questions we hear at every survey.
Yes. Panels run on daylight, not sunshine, so they keep producing under cloud, at a lower rate. Our designs use South West weather records, not a sunny-day figure, and a battery stores the midday surplus for the evening.
Most houses don’t: rooftop panels and batteries are usually permitted development. Listed buildings, conservation areas and flats are different, and we check this at the survey and handle any application for you.
With a backup-ready battery your chosen circuits switch over in under 20 milliseconds, so lights, fridge, router and boiler controls keep running. Without a battery, panels shut down for safety until the grid returns.
Most homes take two to three days on site, after a survey and a design you have approved. We arrange scaffold, fitting, commissioning and the network notification, and leave the site clean each evening.
Yes. Every auro system uses a hybrid inverter sized for a battery, so adding storage or an EV charger later is a half-day visit with no rewiring of the panels.
Very little. The app flags anything unusual, and an optional yearly visit covers a clean, a thermal check of every panel and a firmware update for the inverter and battery.
Most homes in England and Wales qualify for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, which takes a fixed amount off the price of an air source heat pump. We check eligibility at the survey and handle the application.
Yes. A deposit holds your install date, and the balance is due once the system is commissioned and you are happy with it.
The system and its warranties stay with the house, and a solar roof with a battery is a selling point. We transfer the app and the cover to the new owners.
